Course Description
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top MBA programs in India. It is a computer-based test that consists of multiple-choice questions and is administered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotational basis.
\r\n\r\nThe CAT exam tests a candidate's aptitude in verbal ability, data interpretation, and logical reasoning. It is a highly competitive exam, with a large number of candidates applying for a limited number of seats at the IIMs and other top MBA programs.
\r\n\r\nTo be eligible to take the CAT exam, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories are required to have only 45% marks.
\r\n\r\nThe CAT exam is held annually in November and December. The exact dates of the exam are announced by the IIMs in the official notification. The exam is conducted in two sessions, with different sections in each session.
\r\n\r\nThe CAT exam is an important factor in the admission process for MBA programs at the IIMs and other top business schools in India. A high score in the CAT exam can significantly increase a candidate's chances of getting admitted to their desired MBA program.
